It was February of 2011 as I laid in a hospital gurney unable to feel anything below my chest, having nearly died the night before, when the most overwhelming emotions of fear, anxiety and hopelessness came over me. Would I ever walk again? Would I ever run with my children? How was I going to earn money and provide for my family? And so much more... I had taken a prescribed drug, that had had a horrific side affect, nearly killing me, and leaving me without any feeling below my chest.I understand all too well the drak and deep despair that comes over people through no fault of their own. Last month the 12,000 member of the Physician Committee for Responsible Medicine filed with the FDA a Citizens Petition requesting the FDA to require all dairy cheese to include the following warning, "Dairy cheese contains reproductive hormones that may increase breast cancer mortality risk." The Citizens Petition was sound in research where a likely connection between high-fat dairy products and the increased risk for breast cancer was indicated.
