Pharmacies are next up for responsibility as it relates to the nation-wide opioid litigation. The second trial is set for October 21, 2020 and two Ohio counties will attempt to hold a number of pharmacies responsible for their role in the opioid epidemic. The pharmacies contend they're not at fault, but that doctors writing the prescriptions are, and have preserved the right to cross claim against individual doctors. We analyze this decision and share how it might impact the litigation going forward.
