It was February of 2011 as I laid in a hospital gurney unable to feel anything below my chest, having nearly died the night before, when the most overwhelming emotions of fear, anxiety and hopelessness came over me. Would I ever walk again? Would I ever run with my children? How was I going to earn money and provide for my family? And so much more...
